Books I have, want and crave ( .. and occasionally sniff in waterstone's)

Love letters of great men and women- I saw this book on Sex and The City the movie and fell in love with the idea of it. Luckily for me I have a boyfriend who is a hopeless romantic. He bought it for me and sometimes will casually read it to me .... ye he's cool like that ;D my favourite is a heartfelt correspondance between Jane Clairemont and Lord Byron in which she professes her love and admiration of him.
Tim Burton's The Melancholy Death Of Oyster Boy, anything with Tim Burton's name is a fantastic piece of work as far as I'm concerned, this collection of short poems and stories are quirky and adorable
All my friends are dead, Very clever and dry humour from the duo Avery Monsen and John Jory - this is no bed time stoy book the cartoons are cute though hehehehe socks and dinosaurs
Another subtle nodd to my love of vintage fashion, proudly displayed on my bookcase is Style Me Vintage Hair. Lol although I don't in all honesty have a whole lot of hair left to be able to ace the victory roll - I do love the cool step by step photographs of head scarf ideas as well as the uber cool finger curl look.
awww Stylelikeu - another of my precious book children i return to again and again when I need a kick of inspiration. So many fabulous images of people who will allways be more fashionable then me x but I love each and every one of them for it =D, this was another of my first wage slip books .... ohhhh soooo worth it ;D
The sartorialist - My first proper, awsome and beautiful look book. I've learnt so much through Scott Schuman's voyeristic and fragile imagery. A complete must have for any lover of books.

Obviously Beyond retro 112 Cheshire street, E2 ... just insanly great for a vintage junkie, set in a mahooosive warehouse, you name it - they have probably got it, as well as some great vintage inspired stuff in their accessories stands - the website is worth a visit too :) www.beyondretro.com
Ahhh Clobber, located on Christchurch road in Boscombe - right next to pokesdown train station. I love this cubby hole. I really don't know how to describe the meticulous detail displayed to customers in this gem. From the passion for vintage clothing through the staff's apparel to the incredible variation in stock. A fact that hasn't gone unnoticed by the likes of Vogue, Cosmo and Grazia. I first discovered this beautiful boutique in the run up to my first day as a sixth form student. Struggling to find anything on the high street that would make me stand out from the generic Ugg wearing masses ... so after what felt like days of patrolling shops I stumbled into this shop and saw the most perfect Laura Ashley blouse from the seventies, with gorgeous puffball sleeves a large bow and a gorgeous sailor style woggle. I've never looked back even though my friends commented i looked like a hybred of shakespeare and leonardo dicaprio ....( so obviously jealous) :D this treasure trove is SO SO SO worth a visit!!!
Well I really couldn't make a list of the best places to grab up great vintage items without mentioning my hometown. Ferndown and most of the little villages in my area are bursting at the seams with inexpensive but quality charity shops. Including; Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK, Hospice and Oxfam. But the best thing of all about these incredible pre-loved items ( like a pair of genuine Doc Martins in cherry red/ mahogony for a tenner!!!) - you feel good about indulging in retail therapy that will benifit others - everyone wins :D
